Founded in 1991 the company bmt has evolved into an enterprise of innovative ideas with professional products in just a few years. In doing so it has become a reliable partner in the range of medical technology.

The aim of the company is the development and the production of medical endoscopes, endoscopic cameras and innovations for special endoscopic applications.

bmt has turned into an integral part of modern medical technology by precision, quality, perfect handling, reliability, best components and state of the art production engineering.

In 2015 we formed the basis for continuing growth with our new production and administration building. Permanent growing know-how and constant development are now part of our innovative premises. In 2020, the building has been further extended now giving sufficient room for future growth.

The company is internationally well known for the high quality of its products in the field of mechanics, optics and electronic components. bmt develops and produces its products for internationally operating global players in the medical market.

Our self-image is not only to be a supplier of high quality technical instruments for medical endoscopy but also being a partner for medical professionals that have to count on their technical tools daily. This is our motivation.

With the acquisition by the ERBE group a sustainable, long-term growth of the company is ensured.

The Erbe Group is consolidating its expertise in the field of image-guided endoscopy: Three highly specialized units are being merged to form an integrated center of excellence – Erbe Vision GmbH, located in Sexau.

This allows us to bring together technological, clinical, and regulatory expertise under one roof. By uniting our teams, we intensify professional exchange, transfer knowledge more quickly, and translate innovations into market-ready solutions at a faster pace.

Our center of excellence is globally networked, including with our unit in Shanghai, and offers comprehensive expertise ranging from optics and sensor technology to visualization. In this way, we are shaping the future of intelligent video endoscopy, driving the smart integration of technologies in the operating room and treatment room, and laying the foundation for the best possible therapeutic procedures.
