Your responsibilities:

• Develop embedded software for image processing in medical endoscopes with 2D and 3D visual and infrared imaging
• Analyse existing systems and develop optimisation potential in software and hardware design
• Responsibility for software design, architecture and implementation
  • Define the hardware platform to implement excellent solutions
  • Implement hardware-related application and operating system components (Linux/Yocto on FPGA) in coordination with the developers (m/f/d) of the circuit and FPGA design
  • Design and integrate SoC-specific BSP in embedded Linux OS builds
• Create specifications and test concepts for software and efficient documentation
  • Transfer system requirements into appropriate software specifications
  • Plan and execute software unit and integration tests
• You will work with your development colleagues (m/f/d) to drive improvements beyond your area of expertise.

Your skills:

• Degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or a similar study programm
• Relevant professional experience in system software development (Linux/Yocto on FPGA/C/C++) or another embedded system
• Basic understanding of software design and development methodologies
• Structured working style and strong communication skills in both German and English
• Ideally, experience in software development in a regulated medical technology environment
• Ideally, experience with Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC including development environment
• Ideally, experience in ensuring functional safety and cyber security
• Experience in image processing and analysis is desirable
